Which One Are You?

Last night as Jodie and I were talking, I could only sum up my feelings in one phrase: I feel like I'm just spinning my wheels. Then it occurred to me - spinning wheels isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just depends on the circumstance. So, then I thought to myself, which one am I?

You see, both of these cars are spinning their wheels - but both will have completely different outcomes.

(Now, don't take this analogy too far. Cuz then you'd say "I don't want to be the Funny Car that's going to go 100 mph in .8 seconds and then crash in a fire ball of death. I'd rather be the person receiving loving assistance from kind bystanders" Bla ba Bla ba BLA....

Life is short - It'll be over before we know it - you might as well live in the fast lane. Besides, I like to think that we all have 7,000 horsepower under the hood.

Graduation 2009

Since Mike is not going to blog about his own accomplishment, I will do it for him. Three weeks ago Mike got in his "costume" and graduated with his MBA. Way to go Mikey!!! Getting a masters is not an easy thing to do. But getting a masters with a full time job and a wife and three kids is even harder. Thanks for working so hard for all of us Mike.

Can you tell that we are really excited!
Aaaaand, Yes. We're too cheap to spend $200 on this actual photo. So, we'll settle for the 'Proof'

I can't make this stuff up.

Mom: Megan! How many times do I have to yell at you before you'll stop running around?!
Megan: 15

Mom: Megan, can you say 'extinct'?
Megan: Exshteenkt
Mom: Do you know what it means?
Megan: It means that the animals smell really bad now.

Mom: I am a child of
Ryan: Daaaaaa

Dad: I'm hoooooome
Kalli: Dad! Mommy bought you a surprise and it's hidden. Come with me and I'll show you where she put it!

Dad: What do you want to play?
Kalli: I'll be Super Problem Solver Girl. You just yell if you need a problem solved. I'll just be walking up the street till I hear you yell, OK?

Paki

A long time ago, in a land not so far away from my current home (my parents house), Kalli and her cousin Paige came up with a recipe called Paki (pronounced: Pah'Kie). The gist of the recipe was: Eggs, Broccoli, Water, and other stuff. Well, I don't know if it was subliminal or not, but Jodie and I have since started to make "Vegetable Eggs" in the morning. We don't make it all the time - in fact we haven't made it in a while. Essentially you take a bunch of vegetables, boil them in shallow water, and then add eggs when all of the water is gone. I couldn't stand the thought of just eating vegetables and eggs for breakfast, so I decided to add a bunch of ham and cheese to mine (it seems to help - a lot). We fixed it this morning, because its become one of Megans favorites.

All in all, I'd have to say I'm quite pleased. Now to figure out how to get Kalli to eat her own recipe...
